Rapture is one of Victoria's Secret's older fragrances, launched in 1992 and composed by perfumer Harry Fremont. Citrus and orange blossom open it, a full floral heart of jasmine, Bulgarian rose and freesia follows, and it settles on amber, heliotrope, vanilla and musk. It is a warm, powdery amber floral in the classic early-nineties style, and it suits anyone who finds the current Victoria's Secret range too fruity.

How it wears
The bright citrus opening is short and the florals take over quickly, rich and slightly soapy in the way older florals often are. The dry-down is soft and powdery, with heliotrope, vanilla and musk doing most of the work over a steady amber. Best in cooler weather and for evenings, and a fuller, more traditional style than anything currently in the Very Sexy line.
Size and concentration
50ml (1.7 oz) Eau de Cologne spray. Eau de Cologne is the lightest of the standard concentrations, fresher on application and sitting closer to the skin than an Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum.
